Kojak's Thursday NCAA Hoops (20-11-1 with 1 pending for Wed)

Wednesday was a very good day going 20-11-1 with Gonzaga pending. wtd record 36-25-1. ytd 286-242-11. A smaller slate on Thurs means a smaller amount of plays. Looking for quality over quantity today. I am on a 4 day winning streak.

Maryland -2 - Terrapins are only 4-6 in conference but have 4 remaining home games. I look for Maryland to start the winning to at least get to .500 tonight vs G. Tech. G. Tech is reeling on the road after losing to Virginia on Saturday.(loss)

UTEP -17.5 - Big favorite but they are playing an undermanned San Jose St. team. The 50 point win over Rice is still fresh in my mind. I expect at least a 10 pt cover in this one.(loss)

UCSB -4 - Gauchos should catch Pacific off guard as Pacific coming off of win vs Utah St. I look for Pacific to not be focused in this one.(loss)

Washington St. +7.5 - This is a game of who can control pace of the game and when it comes to pace, I would bet on Dick Bennett every time. St. is a live dog in this one.(win)

Oregon +2.5- Ducks need marquee victory and will get it in this one. Arizona has been horrible of late on the road. Ducks will win this one easily.

USC +9 - Call this a hunch. The other top teams have been winning but not covering, I figure Stanford is about due. Could USC be a live dog in this one?

Oregon St. -1.5 - Beavers are a better team this year than Arizona St. and will prove it against Ike and company

California pk- Cal, like Oregon needs a win, to improve tournament resume. They will get it here against UCLA team that has been consistently getting blown out.

Top Plays:UCSB, Oregon, Maryland , Wash St.,and California

Small Plays: USC, Oregon St., and USC

As I mentioned in Co-Cap's thread I think that your use of the term "reeling on the road" in reference to GT is somewhat of an imbellishment...

They lost to Virgina by 2 @ virginia.

They just beat NC by 10 (granted at home) and won by 15 @Tenn the game before.

You could be right about Maryland stepping it up at home here down the stretch but I have trouble seeing a team as good as GT dropping 2 in a row to the bottom dwellers of the ACC...

THE NBA IS ALL BOUT TRENDS, BACK TO BACK, TRAVEL, ECT. I NEVER HAVE PUT THE TIME IN TO TRACK IT. MATCH UPS DON'T REALLY SEEM TO WORK.
